Itsy, Bitsy, Teenie, Weenie

Striped bikini....

Holly is taking swim lessons everyday for 2 weeks so she has a couple of new bathing suits.  This one is my favorite. I picked it up at Old Navy and I think it's the cutest thing!  My little sunshiny smiley girl!!!

Bits from my weekend

Friday evening, I dropped Hayley and Hannah off for auditions to this:

Holly and I ate at Pei Wei while we were waiting for the girls to get finished.

I really hope this is true!!!!

Saturday morning Holly and I got into my car only to hear clicking sounds when I tried to start it. Not good! My neighbor came to help me jump start the battery because Scott was out of town. Why does everything happen when he is out of town?? Before we left to get a new battery, Holly posed for this picture.  Loved the outfit...complete with ice cream necklace and Hello Kitty purse!

Little did I know this was one of three places we would have to go to get a battery for my car.

Sunday was pretty uneventful. Went to church and then Holly had her very first play date with a classmate. Her friend Bella came over to play.

Our neighbor invited us over because they were putting up a waterslide in their backyard. The three girls had fun playing together in the water.

Sunday evening we finally finished this project. You can learn more about this or make one yourself here.

Back from Camp

Hannah's home from camp and to welcome her back, we wrote her a note on our new chalkboard on our patio. This was an old silver mirror that was stored away in a closet.  I painted the frame white and then used chalkboard spray paint.  It was super easy and I love the way it looks on our porch.  I'm sort of addicted, I find myself looking for things to spray paint now!

Happenings around our house

Just a few happenings around our house...

Saturday Scott and the big girls had a Daddy/daughter date night.   Holly and I went shopping and then ate at Red Robin...YUM!

Hayley had written Hannah a note so she would see it before leaving for camp.  She also let her take her pillow pet.  Wow!   My cup runneth over!

Apparently, Hayley was in the note writing mood because when I got to work, I opened my lipstick bag and found this.

That girl really is a sweetie!

My Girl Crush

I have a girl crush on LC - Lauren Conrad. I first saw her on MTV's reality show many years ago called Laguna Beach. I watched every episode and thought she was adorable. After a couple of years she got her own spinoff show called The Hills in which she moved to LA and started working for Teen Vogue. Since then, she has written numberous books, been on numberous magazine covers, started 2 clothing lines, and has recently started her own website on beauty products. Through all of the media and stardom she has stayed the sweet, pretty and down-to-earth girl from her days on Laguna Beach. She has choosen to keep her private life separate but you never hear of her acting anything other than classy. Congrats to you LC on staying true to who you are! In the meantime, I will continue to buy your clothes, read your books and check your website for all things trendy. You go girl!

Outfit of the day

I actually wore this a couple of weeks ago in the car on our way to San Antonio. I am currently in love with maxi dresses. They are so comfortable and come in a variety of styles and colors. This one was a steal at F21. I just love the color! I added turquoise accessories to really make them pop. My unwashed hair went up in a bun...Lauren Conrad style!
