Valentine's Day

It was a sweet day in the Smith House yesterday.  It started off by me making the kids cinnamon roll waffles.  I saw this out in the blog world somewhere and thought it would be fun to try.  You put a cinnamon roll in the waffle iron for about 2-3 minutes or until your light turns green, in my case.  It comes out in the waffle shape (ours were hearts) and it's delicious!  I topped if off by putting some food coloring in the icing to make it pink - of course!

For the kids lunches I made heart shaped sandwiches and added some valentine jokes for fun.

When Scott got home, we gave the kids their gifts and then we exchanged ours as well.  The kids got mailboxes with treats inside.  I put together a box of treats for Scott along with a Valentine poem.  He surprised me with a women's weekend retreat I have been wanting to go on with our church and a white orchid plant.

It really was a nice day and I'm so thankful I have my family to share it with!  Although we did miss all the family and friends that we weren't able to be with but big hugs and kisses go out to you all!
XOXO
