Bedtime Stories

After Holly's bath tonight, I found Hannah reading a story to Holly in her room. She was reading We're Going on a Bear Hunt....this used to be Hayley and Hannah's favorite book. I used to have to read it to them about 5 or 6 times because they loved it so much. Hannah is such a good big sister to Holly. She really has patience with her (even though it's tough sometimes) and she really loves her a lot. Holly really loves Hannah too!

Photo Shoot with my 2 older girls

Hayley and Hannah had a half day of school today so when I picked them up I told them I wanted to take some pictures and then they could have the rest of the day to play. Of course, it wasn't this easy....so I bribed them. I bought them ice cream! I'm so glad that still works!!!

Desperate Housewife

Ok, so not in the fabulousness of the ABC show but more like in the sense of I'm blogging right now instead of doing housework!!! So much needs to be done...the floors, bathrooms, sheets need to be washed, Holly's room needs to be cleaned from her getting everything out and not picking it back up, lunch needs to be made and oh yeah, I need to squeeze in a nap too and not to mention I have to get started on the final book of the Twilight saga....Breaking Dawn. I finished Eclipse last night and every book seems to leave me wanting more. I even called my sister yesterday and told her about a chapter that put me in a bad mood...when Bella kisses Jacob! Ugg! Another example of Desperate Housewife. Oh well, Scott is out of town all week so I guess I have plenty of time to Oooohhhh and Ahhhhh over Edward. See I am a Desperate Housewife.....

Beauty in my backyard

This afternoon I was eating lunch at the kitchen table and I saw something fly and land on the volleyball net in our backyard. I looked out the sliding glass doors and I thought it might be a Hummingbird so I grabbed my camera just in case. As I opened the door Sammy ran out and scared it away. A few minutes later, I saw it land in one of the trees in our backyard so I carefully stepped out (without letting the dogs out this time) and snapped a few shots. I love our backyard. There are so many beautiful creatures that fly in it but this is the first time I was able to catch one of these little guys this still.

THANK YOU Huber Family!!

When I got home today from picking up the kids from school, we saw a package waiting for us. We couldn't tell who it was from...only that is was from Pearland. We brought it inside and opened it up.....Wow! It was like Christmas all over again. It was from our friends Wayne, Michelle, Hayden & Hope (or Hopey as Holly calls her). And there was a gift for each of us. Scott got some cigars, Hayley got some shower gel and lip gloss, Hannah got a stuffed kitty with clothes and a designer book, Holly got the cutest little pillow case dress (which I'm sure the talented Ms. Michelle made) and I got a beautiful bag with a cross sewn on it (and I'm sure Michelle made that too). We loved all our gifts....thank you Huber Family. We really miss ya'll so much and wish we could see you soon. Have fun on your cruise...wish we were going with you! :(

Did you notice Hannah's shirt? She said when she wears it she thinks of her bestest friend in Texas....the one and only.....funky and fresh.....Hope! Love you all.

NEW MOON

I just finished the second book last night...here is my favorite part of the book. It's the dialouge between Bella and Edward.

"Bella, you seem to be under a misapprehension." He closed his eyes, shaking his head back and forth with half a smile on his beautiful face. It wasn't a happy smile. "I thought I'd explained it clearly before. Bella, I can't live in a world where you don't exist."
He stared deep into my eyes with his sincere, earnest gaze. "I'm a good liar, Bella, I have to be."
He shook my shoulder, trying to loosen my rigid pose. "Let me finish! I'm a good liar, but still for you to believe me so quickly." He winced. "That was...excruciating."
"When we were in the forest, when I was telling you goodbye---"
"You weren't going to let go, " he whispered. "I could see that. I didn't want to do it--it felt like it would kill me to do it-- but I knew that if I couldn't convice you that I didn't love you anymore, it would just take you that much longer to get on with your life. I hoped that, if you thought I'd moved on, so would you."
"But how could you believe me? After all the thousand time I've told you I love you, how could you let one word break your faith in me?"
"I could see it in your eyes, that you honestly believed that I didn't want you anymore. The most absurd, ridiculous concept--as if there were any way that I could exist without needing you!"
And so I started to cry. The tears welled up and then gushed miserably down my cheeks.
"How can I put this so that you'll believe me? You're not asleep, and you're not dead. I'm here, and I love you. I have always loved you, and I will always love you. I was thinking of you, seeing your face in my mind, every second that I was away. When I told you that I didn't want you, it was the very blackest kind of blasphemy."

Pics of Holly

Yesterday Holly and I were in the backyard...I was watching her play as I sat in the sun reading New Moon (it's so good so far!) and she climbed up on this rock and said, "Mommy, take my picture". Wow! This was a first so I put the book down and ran inside to get my camera. I wasn't about to let this chance slip by. Hayley and Hannah never pose for me and when I want to take their picture all I get is eye rolling and groans so I jumped at the chance that my 2 year old was telling me to take her picture. I got some cute shots don't ya think? She only let me take a couple and then she was done but hey, I'm not complaining!

Holly's Playhouse

Holly loves the playhouse Santa brought her. She likes the sink. She tells me, "Mommy, I'm washing my hands!" She also likes to talk on her phone.

I think I'm in love....with a vampire!!!

No, Scott does not have a sudden thirst for blood! Let me explain. I have been sick with bronchitis all week long. I got so tired of laying around that I had to get out of the house even if it was for just an hour. I still really didn't feel well enough to go but needed some fresh air. I didn't want to go alone so I asked Hannah to go with me. Actually, I bribed her. I knew she would go if I told her I was going to Target and I would get her popcorn. That's all it took and off we went. I came home with the book that I have been wanting to read for a while now Twilight. I know they just made a movie but I've heard so many people say how amazing the book is so I didn't want to ruin my curiousity by watching the movie. Well, here it is 48 hours and 498 pages later and I'm finished!!!! So you see, I'm in love with Edward from the book. It was so good....Stephanie Meyer's is an awesome writer. Tomorrow I'm off to get the sequel New Moon.
