Grandma's visit
While Grandma was here visiting last week, we ventured out to Venice Beach one day. Great day for being outside and taking in some sights. Sights indeed! The people watching alone gave us full entertainment not to mention the street performers that were awesome!! Thanks Grandma for being a great sport about going to this interesting beach community.

M.I.A.
Sorry I've been missing in action lately but my computer bit the dust last week and it decided to take all my documents and pictures with it. I've been without a computer for over a week....
It was time to purchase a new one and I made up my mind what I wanted.
When I opened the box, I found this note... and it's my thoughts exactly!!!!!

Me and my bright ideas
Sometimes I get ideas to do things and think they are great ideas...for instance....I thought it would be a good idea to get Mimi to take some family pics of us. How easy is that right? Wrong! Nobody in my family wanted to get their picture taken so right from the start it was a disaster. Holly threw a mini-fit before we walked out the door because she wanted a gogurt (yogurt in a tube). Of course, she got it and walked down the street the entire way with it. Pinky Pie (a huge stuffed pony) also had to make the trip with us and when she wasn't in the picture, Holly threw another fit. Then she spilled the yogurt all over her dress and in her hair. The big girls laughed which made it even worse. Scott was frustrated, the big girls thought the pictures were a big joke, our sun was gone and it was freezing, Holly was crying and I was about to start crying too. This is where I thought to myself....why on earth did you think this would be a good idea? I was about to just forget the whole thing all together when the storm calmed and kids started cooperating. We did manage to get some pictures...so in the end, I think it was worth it...I think!

Stoney Point
We tried a new hiking spot this weekend. It was a little more challenging than other trails we've tried because we did some climbing with this trail. It was a gorgeous day and lot's of hikers were out. We climbed to the top of Stoney Point and took in some of it's beautiful views. We stopped along the way to break for water and snacks and pictures.
With all that hiking, we worked up an appetite so we headed over to the cutest little hot dog stand and filled our bellies.
