Say it isn't true!!!

Please somebody tell me it's a lie! No, No, it can't be true!!! Zara...why do you taunt me? You know I'm on a spending hault. Can't buy a thing right now...can't even spend a little bit. You see, we are moving to Southern California soon and so for right now until we are settled with a home and new jobs...I'm on a strict budget. Oh, there's other taunts coming from Target, Kohl's, Old Navy...and don't even get me started on the online stores!! But I'm being very careful to stay far, far away from any temptations that might make me fall off the wagon! But Zara, my love, why on heavens earth now?? I mean, I only got to shop with you every once in a while as it is since you were only in 1 location in Houston and it's not very easy for me to get to. Now, you've made my temptations so easy to acquire!! No, No, Must Be Strong!!! I will be strong! But you can bet your bottom dollar, when I'm settled in Cali...I'm gonna purchase a whole outfit! Until then, I'm not believing these lies!!!!!!

First Day of School

Well, we all survived the first week of school. I'm not ready for schedules, routines and homework yet but I have no choice. It's here! Hayley started Junior High; Hannah started Middle School and Holly is in Pre-K. Keep in mind...Hayley and Hannah have to wear collared shirts under the strict dress rules at school. They are not allowed wear anything with a sparkle, glitter, rhinestone or shimmer...or else they'd be blinging it everyday!!

It occurred to me that I hadn't posted these pictures from our trip back in July. This is one of our kids favorite places to go. I think it's one of mine and Scott's favorites too!

This year, we invited our friends to go with us. They brought their camper and stayed in that. We had a cabin so Hayley's friend Brooke stayed with us.

The girls had their own space in the loft area of the cabin.

I love to take nature walks with the kids. Especially in the evening when it's cooling down. It's even great for pictures. Luckily, they let me snap away.

This is pretty much where we all hang out during the day...cooling off in the water.

Even the big kids got in on some water slide action!

Back to School

Last night, the big girls organized all their school supplies and packed their lunches. This morning I took their lunch bags out of the fridge and wrote a special note and taped it to a sweet treat and hid it in the lunches.

It read: Hannah/Hayley - I hope you have a "Sweet" first day of 5th/7th grade! Love, Mom

This is just of them getting out of the car at their new schools. I promise I did take pictures of them this morning on my better camera. I'll post those tomorrow.

Hayley & Brooke's Makeovers

Since Hayley is starting the 7th grade this year and has expressed an interest in wearing some make-up, I thought it would be fun to take her to the MAC counter for a lesson. We invited her best friend Brooke to come also. Brooke's mom and I wanted to make sure the girls still looked their age. We wanted a little color but still easy and natural. They both looked gorgeous when they were done!

Hannah came with us and had fun with the girls also.
